MUNNAR

Tucked away in the reserves of gorgeous Kerala is Munnar. Munnar is a town situated along the slopes of the Western Ghats and is a very popular hill station. Best time to visit Munnar

Being a hill station, Munnar is blessed with a highland climate. Hence April and May are the best months to visit, just before the rains arrive from June to September. However, August and September are also favored by tourists due to the festival of Onam that is celebrated here with flower carpets and delectable local foods. Post monsoon is also the best time to visit to enjoy the countless waterfalls of Munnar.

  • Eravikulam National Park

This National park is just 45 min away from Munnar and is home to rich and diverse varieties of plants and animals. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You can spot many different animals including the Nilgiris Langur, Atlas moth, Lion-tailed macaque among others.

  • Top Station

Located about 32 km from Munnar this lies on the border of Kerala and neighboring Tamil Nadu. As the name suggests, Top Station is the highest point in Munnar with an altitude of roughly 1700 m. This place is one of the main tourist attractions and offers breath-taking views of the majestic Western Ghats and the valleys.
