Day 1: Departure from Georgia (ATL/SAV) to Delhi

 

Begin your sacred journey with a flight from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) or Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport (SAV) to Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL), New Delhi. The journey takes approximately 16-20 hours, including layovers.

 

Day 2: Arrival in Delhi – Transfer to Haridwar ( 220 km/5-6 hours )

 

Upon arrival in Delhi, meet our representative and drive to Haridwar, one of India’s holiest cities. Check into your hotel, freshen up, and in the evening, witness the Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri, a mesmerizing spiritual experience. Overnight stay in Haridwar.

 

Day 3: Haridwar to Barkot (180 km / 7 hours)

 

After breakfast, begin your scenic drive to Barkot, the base for Yamunotri Temple. En route, enjoy a brief stop at Mussoorie and Kempty Falls. Arrive in Barkot by evening, check into your hotel, and relax.

 

Day 4: Yamunotri Temple Darshan (6 km Trek from Janki Chatti)

 

Early morning, drive to Janki Chatti, the trek starting point for Yamunotri Temple. Options to reach the temple:

🔹 Trek (6 km, 3 hours)
🔹 Hire a pony or palanquin

Upon arrival, take a holy dip in Surya Kund hot springs and seek blessings from Goddess Yamuna. After Darshan, trek back and return to Barkot for an overnight stay.

 

Day 5: Barkot to Uttarkashi (100 km / 4 hours)

 

After breakfast, drive to Uttarkashi, a town known for its spiritual significance. Visit the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. Spend a peaceful evening by the Bhagirathi River. Overnight stay in Uttarkashi.

 

Day 6: Gangotri Temple Darshan (100 km / 3 hours One Way)

 

Early morning, embark on a scenic drive to Gangotri, the origin of the Ganges River. Take a holy dip in the Bhagirathi River, offer prayers at Gangotri Temple, and absorb the divine energy. After darshan, return to Uttarkashi for an overnight stay.

 

Day 7: Uttarkashi to Guptkashi (220 km / 8 hours)

 

After breakfast, drive through picturesque Himalayan roads to Guptkashi, a town associated with the Mahabharata and Lord Shiva. Visit the Ardh Narishwar Temple and enjoy the tranquil environment. Overnight stay in Guptkashi.

 

Day 8: Kedarnath Temple Darshan (19 km Trek or Helicopter Ride)

 

Early morning, drive to Sonprayag, then take a shared Jeep to Gaurikund, the starting point of the Kedarnath trek. Options to reach Kedarnath Temple:

🔹 Trek (19 km, 6-8 hours)
🔹 Hire a pony or palanquin
🔹 Helicopter ride from Guptkashi/Phata (advance booking recommended)

At Kedarnath Temple, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva participates in evening aarti and darshan. Stay overnight in Kedarnath (if trekking) or return to Guptkashi (if using a helicopter).

 

Day 9: Guptkashi to Badrinath (190 km / 7 hours)

 

After breakfast, drive to Badrinath, the final dham of the yatra. En route, visit Joshimath, Vishnuprayag, and Pandukeshwar. Upon arrival, take a holy dip in Tapt Kund (hot springs) and attend the evening aarti at Badrinath Temple. Overnight stay in Badrinath.

 

Day 10: Badrinath Darshan – Return to Rudraprayag (150 km / 5 hours)

 

Early morning, visit Badrinath Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Explore nearby sacred sites like Mana Village (the last Indian village), Vyas Gufa, Bhim Pul, and Charan Paduka. Later, drive to Rudraprayag, a town at the confluence of the Alaknanda and Mandakini Rivers, for an overnight stay.

 

Day 11: Rudraprayag to Rishikesh – Back to Delhi (400 km / 9 hours)

 

After breakfast, drive to Rishikesh, a spiritual hub famous for yoga and meditation. Visit Laxman Jhula, Ram Jhula, and Triveni Ghat, where you can spend some peaceful moments by the Ganges River. Later, proceed to Delhi and check into a hotel or transfer directly to the airport for your return flight to Georgia.

 

Day 12: Arrival in Georgia (ATL/SAV)

 

Board your flight from Delhi to Georgia, bringing back divine blessings and cherished memories. Arrive at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) or Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport (SAV), completing your sacred Char Dham Yatra.
