Best time to visit Mandawa

Like most other places in Rajasthan, Mandawa experiences the typical desert climate. Summers are generally lengthy and hot with temperature crossing 45 degree Celsius and winters are chilly with the average temperature sticking around 10 degree Celsius. So, the best time to explore this town completely is during the winter from October to March.

Murmuria Haveli

If you own a knack of setting their eyes on art pieces of the past, this palace will surely appease you. Built during the 1930s, it is one of the most popular attractions of Rajasthan and apart from the artworks of various celebrated artists the architecture of this foundation will also awe-stuck you.

Hanuman Prasad Goenka Haveli

Another Haveli, this one is owned by the Goenka Family and exhibits beautiful artworks alongside carvings. Look forward to the mythical art piece featuring Lord Indra, the king of Gods who rides on his elephant, and that of Shiva and you would loathe leaving this palace.

Harlalka Well

Although the history of this site is not exactly known you will find this rustic place a few steps away from the Murmuria Haveli. Exquisitely crafted minarets steal the show and the camel ramp towards the actual well. But be careful as no guard railings are there to protect you from falling inside the well.

How to reach Mandawa?

It is best to travel to Mandawa by road from Delhi or Jaipur. Mandawa is a five-hour drive from Delhi and a three-hour drive from Jaipur.  

Closest railway station/bus stop to Mandawa

There is no rail service that connects the town of Mandawa and thus you have to travel about 30 km to the Jhunjhunu Railway station. Regular buses ply to and from the Mandawa bus top and you can get buses from major cities like Delhi, Jaipur,and Bikaner.
